Czech German Shepherds of East Texas — Notification List Overview
Our Notification List is designed for approved homes who want early access to upcoming litters before puppies are publicly announced or reservations open. This list is available only to families who have submitted our questionnaire and been formally approved.
How the Notification List Works
1. Approval Comes First
Once your questionnaire is reviewed and approved, your name is added to our Notification List in the order determined by Czech German Shepherds of East Texas. This establishes your place in line for early updates.
When Picks and Deposits Open
We typically open puppy picks and deposits when puppies are 7–10 days old.
If you are on the Notification List, you will receive:
• The exact date and time deposits open
• Access to picks before the general public
• Instructions for securing your reservation
Being on the list does not guarantee a puppy — but it gives you the earliest opportunity to reserve one.
How Puppy Picks Are Made
A few days before deposits open, we post:
• Puppy photos
• Micro‑descriptions
• Early temperament indicators
These early notes are strong initial predictors of each puppy’s developing character.
You may review the available puppies and choose your pick when deposits open.
Securing Your Puppy
Once you select your puppy:
• A deposit is required immediately to reserve your spot
• You will receive your deposit contract by email
• The contract must be signed and returned the same day
After this step, your puppy is officially reserved.
Staying Updated
We post frequent updates on:
• Facebook
• Our Website
These include photos, videos, developmental milestones, and environmental training progress.
Kennel Safety & Biosecurity Policy
At Czech German Shepherds of East Texas, we are committed to raising healthy, confident, and well‑socialized German Shepherd puppies. Protecting our dogs from preventable illness is a responsibility we take seriously, and maintaining strict biosecurity protocols is essential to that mission.
Why We Limit On‑Site Visits:
Young puppies have developing immune systems and are highly susceptible to contagious pathogens that can be unknowingly carried on shoes, clothing, or hands. Full immunity is not achieved until puppies complete their vaccination series at approximately 14–16 weeks of age.
Even well‑intentioned visitors can introduce viruses, bacteria, or parasites without ever touching a puppy. Contaminants brought onto a property can transfer to the dam and then to her litter. Many breeders have experienced devastating losses due to pathogens introduced this way, and we are committed to preventing those risks.
For the safety of our animals and the privacy of our home, we do not allow public visits to our property.
Meet‑and‑Greet Process
Most of our puppies are reserved before they are old enough for visits. To protect their health and honor the commitments made to their future families, we offer controlled, off‑site meetings when appropriate.
Our meet‑and‑greet guidelines include:
• Meetings take place off‑site at a designated safe location.
• If choosing between puppies, we may bring up to two puppies for evaluation.
• No meetings will be scheduled before puppies receive their first vaccination.
• Until puppies are fully vaccinated, all visits are “No Paws on the Ground.”
• A maximum of two people may handle puppies during the visit.
• Hands must be sanitized with provided wipes or sanitizer before handling.
• Scheduling is based on our availability and the puppies’ developmental needs.
We support families through photos, videos, temperament insights, and open communication to help them make informed decisions.
Our Commitment to Your Puppy
We raise our puppies inside our home, where we can closely monitor their health, development, and socialization. By controlling their environment and limiting exposure to outside risks, we ensure they receive the safest start possible.
Families who choose Czech German Shepherds of East Texas place their trust in our experience, ethics, and dedication. If a prospective owner is uncomfortable with our safety standards, we understand that our program may not be the right match. It's of most importance that you find a breeder you trust!
Thank you for respecting our policies and helping us protect the dogs we love.
We do our best to respond to text messages and questions within 24 hours, usually sooner. Thank you in advance for your understanding!
